There were close to 2,200 people aboard the Titanic for its maiden voyage, including about 900 crew members. Among the ship's first-class passengers were some of the richest people in the world -- from business tycoons to movie stars. In second- and third-class compartments were people from across Europe who were sailing to a new life in America.
